Plant-based foods exploded onto the market in 2017 with the launch of alternative meat brands Impossible Foods and Beyond Meat. Fast forward to 2023 and retailers and suppliers in the category say they need to address the challenges in the fast-evolving plant-based space to ensure future growth.
